Holiday Thoughts, 2025

Happy holidays! There is so much rich tradition in our celebrating the return of the sun during this time of year (for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, that is).

I am reminded of some of the origin stories that I’ve heard about winter holiday time. One of my favorites is that people who were good at making a certain item would give it as a Christmas present to others so that good craftsmanship got shared. I like that idea. Another is the idea of bringing evergreen trees into the house as a way of remembering that our green lawns and plants will come back to life again.

Holiday lights are another way of calling the daylight back to us, along with red for love, gold for protection, and green for productivity or fertility.

Meanwhile, studies are also noting that winter is our deep thinking time (read the last paragraph of this article here, and it’s a good time to process what you learned over the year and to consider your approach for the coming year. I once attended a New Year ritual where we wrote some feeling that we’d like to get rid of onto cigarette papers and tossed them into a fire. It was a relief to do that.

Whatever your holiday rituals are, I hope you are also sleeping a bit more, enjoying whatever celebration food is available and good to you, and enjoying only good company. Remember that this is the slower time of year and that internal work is seasonally appropriate.

Meanwhile, I am finally able to offer a numerology tool to you! I’ve been working on getting one out for years. Take a look — you’ll get your Life Path number for free and much more insight for a little cash. Check it out in the shop.

Also, New Year readings are available in December and January. It takes an hour and the price is still $140. That button is in our shop, too.
